Our tire chain connector set is designed for easy attachment of chains to real tires. Each set includes a 1 1/4″ eye bolt with a 5/8 inch diameter, a 2 1/2 inch bottom washer, and a lock tight nut. It is compatible with all S-hooks and shackles. This product is made to last and can withstand harsh conditions for up to 2 years, and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. However, some conditions may require replacement sooner. With a tensile strength of 1400 lbs., it is sold in sets of three for your convenience.
**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. Drill 3 holes spaced evenly in the real tire. Take the nut & washer off and place on the under side of the tire. Put eye bolt through the hole and screw washer and nut in. You will need to use S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the tire eye bolt. Make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.
Safe Use: This is for children 2 – 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges and/or cracks especially around eye bolts. Check for vandalism. Check for rusty or worn chain. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/or shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
