Rotational molded infant seat is made of polypropylene and is available in bright colors that will not fade.   The extra wide hanger is especially designed so that the seat is gravitationally correct when a child is swinging in the seat and will resist rust.  The seat is 12” across, 11.5” front to back, leg holes are 6.5” in diameter and the seat is 8” deep.  This seat meets ASTM Standards both commercially and residentially.  This seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions.  

**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

Installation:  Make sure when seat is installed the warning label is visible.  To use this seat install the short side of the hanger at the back of the seat and the long side in front.  There are 4 washers per hanger.  There are 2 regular nuts per hanger.  These go on the top above the washer.  There are 2 lock nuts per hanger.  These go on the bottom of the hanger below washer.  You will need to connect S-hooks or shackles from the triangular hardware on the seat to the chain and then S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the swing hangers.  The seats need to be not more than 2 ft off the ground.  Hangers need to be spaced 2 ft from the end of the set and 2 ft apart for each swing.  You will need to make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards.  To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers.  WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking.  Make sure that the shackles used are tightened and if you use the shackle swing hangers for the chain that these also are tightened.  Inspect regularly or use Loctite® to make sure bolt is still tight. 

Safe Use:  This seat is for children 2-4 year olds only.  Not for Adults.   Adults should supervise children at all times.  Do not allow children to stand on seat or use unsafely.  Do not allow it to be used if damaged. 

Maintenance: Do monthly routine maintenance checks for cracks, rust, missing rivets, open S-hooks or evidence of vandalism such as cutting, metal showing through the material or children standing on seats and crushing or bending the seats.  Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment.  This will reduce serious injuries.  In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently.   Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks.
