This set of 10 rocks provides a natural stone appearance, and their varying shapes allow for maximum flexibility when designing rock walls for different age groups. Each rock is approximately 4.5″ x 3″ x 1.5″ in size, with holes that are 1.25″ to 1.5″ center to center. Made of plastic P.P. resin with high-impact ingredients, and featuring UV and cold weather protection, these rocks have a rough surface that mimics the look of real rocks. Please note that screws and bolts for attaching the rocks are not included. This product is designed to last up to 5 years in optimal conditions and up to 2 years in harsh conditions, although some conditions may require replacement sooner. The set is sold as a complete set of 10.

**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. www.americanswing.com   Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a “Product Testing Information” page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. You can also call us at 1-800-433-2573 for more information or see http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/325.pdf.

Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.

Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. As is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play.  For more information, contact IPEMA headquarters at www.communications@ipema.org or by calling 1‐717‐238‐1744.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. If the installation instructions differ from ours please contact us at 800-433-2573.

You will need ten 1 ½” long 3/8” lag bolts and ten 1 ¼” long #12 screws for each set of rocks. Determine difficulty and height wanted. For one set of rocks use 1” plywood, for taller set use thicker plywood. Plan configuration wanted for rocks. Place rock on board and mark with pencil where holes need to be drilled. Drill a pilot hole for 3/8” lag bolt and for large hole and #12 for small hole for each rock. Then using a 9/16” socket, screw 3/8” lag bolt into rock. Do not tighten until second bolt is installed. Using a 5/16” socket, screw in the #12 wood screw. Tighten both screws. Continue procedure until all twenty bolts are screwed in completely. Make sure no sharp point protrude beyond back of plywood.

Safe Use: This is for children 5 – 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged or wet.

Maintenance: Before and after play season and once a month during play season, check that bolts are tight. Make sure there is no cracked plastic, cracks in wood or splinters. Make sure there are not sharp edges or bolts showing through wood. Replace parts as needed. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.

Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
