Galvanized steel wood beam hanger uses only one bolt with teeth on top of the hanger to prevent it from turning after installation. It has an “oil lite” bronze bearing and axle bolt with lock tight nut and accepts a 12mm bolt. It has a shackle pendulum that does not require an S-hook for connections to the chain but is tamper resistant and requires an allen wrench with special hole to open and close. Plate is 2 ¼” x 1 ¼”. Holds up to 5000 lbs.

Installation: Hangers should be spaced 2 ft from the end of the set and 2 ft a part for each swing. Unscrew the bolt holding pendulum bushing in place. Take the pendulum out. Put bolt (not included) up through top of swing hanger and up through wood. Screw nut (not included) down snuggly on bolt. Put pendulum back in center of swing hanger and bolt back through pendulum and attach lock-tite nut. Grease or oil bushings if squeaking noises are heard. Use the A5750 to open shackle bolt. Slide chain on the bolt and then tighten in the hanger until snug.
Safe Use: This is for children 5-12 year olds only. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.
Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. Check monthly for cracks, rust, missing rivets, open S-hooks or evidence of vandalism such as cutting, metal showing through the material or bent seats from children standing on them. Tighten and lubricate all metallic moving parts per manufacturer’s instructions. Check all protective coverings on nuts, bolts, pipes, edges, corners and all moving parts including swing hangers, swing seats, ropes, cables, chains, shackles, pendulums for excessive wear and tighten bolts. Replace as needed. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment. In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently. Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks.
