Our safety hand grips provide a safe and colorful addition to your playset. They are specifically designed with finger indentations for easy gripping and climbing for children. Each pair of hand grips comes with the necessary installation hardware, including 2 screws per handle. With a tensile strength of 1300 lbs., this product is sure to last up to 5 years in optimal conditions and at least 2 years in harsher conditions. These hand grips are sold in pairs.

However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.
Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. As is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play. Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. If the installation instructions differ from ours please contact us at 800-433-2573.
Determine where you wish hand grips to be placed. Using included screws, screw two screws into wood. Make sure screws are tight and not protruding through wood.
Safe Use: This is for children 2 – 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged or wet.
Maintenance: Before and after play season and once a month during play season, check that bolts are tight. Make sure there is no cracked plastic, crack in wood or splinters. Make sure there are not sharp edges or screws showing through wood. Replace parts as needed.
